Program:
music by Vincenzo Bellini, Richard Wagner, Gaetano Donizetti, Giacomo Puccini, Giuseppe Verdi
The new year of the Orchestra della Toscana opens, as per tradition, with a special concert. On the podium, Diego Ceretta, principal conductor of the ORT, will perform an opera programm that combines elegance and theatricality, entrusted to the voices of soprano Giuliana Gianfaldoni and tenor Riccardo Della Sciucca. Two young but already established performers, regular guests of the major Italian and European theatres.
On the programme, arias and symphonic pages by Vincenzo Bellini, Richard Wagner, Gaetano Donizetti, Giacomo Puccini and Giuseppe Verdi: three different sound worlds, united by an idea of singing that crosses styles, eras and sensibilities. A choice that privileges lyrical intensity, beauty of timbre and melodic invention, without renouncing moments of energy and momentum.
The concert represents a festive but unconventional occasion, designed to greet the coming year with the communicative power of the voice and the musical quality that distinguishes the ORT.
